Driving
Instructions, or How to get to Charleston
The following directions will
get you to the College of Charleston in downtown Charleston:
From I-26
Take I-26 to the end, which is the junction of Hwy 17 and downtown
Charleston. Take exit #21 for “Downtown, Visitors Center, Meeting St.”
Go approximately 10 blocks to the intersection of Meeting and Calhoun
Streets. Turn right on Calhoun Street.
From Hwy 17 North
Take Hwy 17 North to Charleston. Coming into downtown you will pass “Ye
Old Fashion Ice Cream Shop” on the left. Go over the Ashley River
Bridge. Holiday Inn will be on your left. Get into one of the right
lanes—don’t go straight! Wind around to your right and get into the
left lane to turn left at the stoplight. After you turn left, you will be
on Calhoun Street. Continue on Calhoun.
From Hwy 17 South
Take Hwy 17 South over the old Cooper River Bridge (about 2 miles long).
When coming off the bridge, take King Street exit (left lane). Wind around
to a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign onto King Street. Follow King
to Calhoun Street. Francis Marion Hotel is on your right. Turn here. Stay
on Calhoun.
The College of Charleston is
central to most SEMI & SCiNDY locations. You should be able to find
your way around using the Downtown
