Limited scholarships are available
for Media Artists residing in Louisiana,
North
Carolina and Tennessee through a South Carolina Arts Commission grant from
the National Endowment for the Arts and eight state arts agencies,
including the Louisiana
Division of the Arts and New Orleans Video Access
Center; the North Carolina Arts
Council; and the Tennessee Arts
Commission.

North
Carolina Residents
Resident artists may apply for up to
$400 in tuition support (only) for the Southeastern Media Institute.
Applications are reviewed on first-come, first-served basis. There are a limited number of scholarships.
You must be a North Carolina media artist who has lived in the state for at least one year and are at least eighteen years of age. Students are not eligible for this award. New applicants preferred.
Efforts will be made to ensure a diverse group of grantees.

Tennessee
Residents
Resident artists may apply for up to
$500 in tuition support for the Southeastern Media Institute
and/or reimbursement for hotel or travel (airfare or mileage at
South Carolina state rate of 34.5˘ per mile).
There are ten (10) scholarships available. Applicants must be legal residents of Tennessee at the time of application with a permanent
Tennessee mailing address. Students are not eligible for this award.
